Pink Garden: Visual Journaling, October 2022 (Artwork no.2)
Hi, how are you doing? I write this even though I know no one read my blog 😆
I am currently a patron that follows Rebecca Green Patreon. She mentioned that sometimes she feels she talks to void. I get that feeling, this makes me feel that I am not alone.
I have a problem with consistency in making personal artwork so the purpose of making a visual journal is to document what I made and hopefully I can learn to consistently make artwork.
I keep reminding myself about this because sometimes you get stuck in the feeling of wanting someone else appreciation on social media (how many likes and comments I get from the work) and if I am not careful it can trick you to feel that likes equal the quality of the work. Because this is how I usually did in my day job as a product manager, we need to evaluate the performance of creative based on impression, click, and conversion. That's though! I don't want to take it too hard on myself and remind myself that creating personal artwork is for me not for others 😊
While writing this post, I think it's good for me to have a goal of how many artworks should I create in order to learn about consistency. For now, my goal is to create 10 artworks! Baby steps 😀 I know I can do it!
For artwork no.2, I made another pattern called Pink Garden. I think in this artwork, I am using Real Pencil Brush by EricAnthonyJ and RSCO brush by RetroSupply Co.
I want to achieve Riso Printing kinda look, so the brush was perfect!
Here is my process timelapse.
I wrote this in December though, the sky was gloomy because it rains a lot this time of the month. How is your December going? is it magical?
I am planning to try to get my first nail done here on Sunday, so excited! I also plan to make another batch of soft cookies. Last time, I make dark choco chip cookies and matcha. This time I want to make dark choco chips again but with choco melt in the center, another Matcha with white choco chips, and try Hojicha and Strawberry flavors maybe. Let's see :)
What is your plan for this weekend?
Love,
Novita
